Inclusion
New Wyre Forest Primary School receives Inclusion Quality Mark
Franche Community Primary School is the first of the new Wyre Forest Primary Schools to be awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark.
The Inclusion Quality Mark is comprised of ten elements which deal with inclusion in its widest sense and in all aspects of school life. They are divided into three core groups: the individual pupil, the staff focus, the family and community focus.
Liz Packwood the SENCO at Franche Community Primary School said "this award has come about due to the continued hard work and co-operation of staff, pupils, parents and the wider school community and we are delighted that our efforts have been rewarded in this way" she added "this is a truly inclusive school with a positive approach to ensure that every child is happy at school and has the opportunity to fulfil their full potential".
Our Approach
Our philosophy is to make all children feel at home and fulfilled members of the school family. Through a kind and positive approach we can help them to develop their full potential, ready to take the next step.
Parents and family are considered vital to the educational process, which is why we seek to work in partnership with all our families.
Children identified as having Special Educational Needs are helped and encouraged to participate as fully as possible in school life with the support and back up provided by 'Specialised Teaching' and Special Support Assistants.
The school welcomes and accommodates children with physical disabilities via facilities such as ramps and adapted toilets. |
