* Work very closely with parents and professionals to meet individual child's needs and the needs of the whole family.
* Assess each child's requirements to ensure that we provide a suitable, individual programme of learning and enhance the foundation subjects according to need.
* Encourage and foster independence.
* Employ systems to modify behavioural issues.
* Use strategies to enrich the children's language and learning through a wide variety of creative activities.
* Provide a safe and stimulating environment with indoor and outdoor activities using our extensive site and including Forest School.
* Encourage healthy eating during snack time, taking note of any specific dietary requirements.
* Ensure the child accesses the correct reception provision on school entry. In the term before a child starts school the Nursery Plus team will liaise with the child's new setting to ensure a smooth transition and will continue to provide support to the new setting during the first term.
