“Outstanding” across the board - Ofsted report  October 2008     

Trustees, staff, parents and children at Franche 726 are celebrating today as their childcare provision for the 0 – 5s has been awarded the highest possible grade of “outstanding” across all fourteen inspection judgements.

“In this inclusive setting, the needs of all children from birth to five are extremely well met by knowledgeable and caring staff who place great emphasis on safety and well being” – Ofsted Oct 08

Tots @ 726

Tots @ 726 opened in April 2003 and is the 0-3 year day Nursery based at Franche Community Primary School.

Our main aims are to:

  • Provide a happy, caring, welcoming atmosphere in which the best quality care is provided for each child to reach their potential
  • Provide care within a safe, secure environment that is well organised, lively, interesting and within which each child is valued as an individual
  • Work together with parents/carers to ensure that the best care is provided for their child

Baby Room

This room is for babies from 3 months. The staff endeavour to maintain the home routine and discuss with you times for sleep, feeds etc.

Each child has their own Home/Nursery diary to maintain good links with home.

Bumble Bees Room

This room is for toddlers. Here the day is a little more structured and activities revolve around "Birth to 3 matters" agenda.

Butterflies Room

This room is for children from 2 years. Here they have structured activities to include Forest School, Tumble Tots and The Music Man. They also fully utilise the school facilities such as the tree house and school hall.

Franche Community Primary School is a Food for Life Partnership Flagship Sc hool and offer home cooked lunches from local and seasonal fresh food.

Tots @ 726 offer all children a hot meal every day chosen from a specially prepared menu and cooked in the award winning kitchen.
