Christmas Play season under way!

Reception pupils kicked off the festive season in brilliant style last week, entertaining a packed audience with their own version of the nativity. This week it's the turn of Nursery and Years 2, 3 & 4, who each have their own dramatic retelling of the Christmas story (or something close to it!). Years 5 & 6 host their own Christmas events the following week. Thank you to all our parents and grandparents and friends for supporting the children - it can be a nerve wracking experience for them but they are all a credit to you and the school.

Inspiring visit from world class athlete

Team GB hurdler Meghan Beesley was an inspirational visitor to school, hosting a series of fitness sessions and games with all year groups. Her visit was organised through a not-for-profit sports charity which works with schools to encourage pupils to aim high and work hard to achieve their ambitions. Head of sport Miss Running said it was a fantastic day, which also raised hundreds of pounds in sponsorship towards new fitness equipment for school. Meghan, a 400m hurdler, is a world under 23s finalist and Commonwealth Games medallist whose sights are now set on next year's world athletics championships.
